Cooking and Preparation
- Prepare ingredients by portioning, cutting, washing, peeling, measuring, and mixing them.
- Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklists.
- Prepare cold food items and operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers.
- Test food for doneness and monitor food quality during preparation.
- Portion and serve food in appropriate containers.
Kitchen Operations and Safety
- Organize and clean food preparation work areas.
- Clean and sanitize kitchen areas, tables, utensils, knives, and equipment.
- Check that appliance and food temperatures are accurate.
- Follow company, safety, and security policies and report maintenance issues, incidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions.
- Complete safety training and certifications and maintain quality standards.
Team and Physical Requirements
- Communicate clearly and professionally and maintain positive working relationships.
- Support team members in achieving common goals and respond appropriately to their concerns.
