About the Role
Emirates Global Aluminium seeks a Safety Supervisor to monitor and implement safety control plans and policies across plant operations. The role involves supervising day-to-day safety operations, incident investigation, training, and maintenance of safety systems.

Responsibilities
- Implement approved departmental policies, systems, processes, procedures and controls for the Safety department
- Supervise day to day operations of the Safety department to ensure compliance with policies and procedures
- Supervise incident investigation process and undertake investigations and reporting of Safety incidents
- Plan, organise and conduct Safety training courses to promote Safety awareness
- Control and coordinate maintenance and testing of Safety protection systems throughout the plant
- Develop and initiate routine evaluations of the workplace to identify non conformance and recommend solutions
- Comply with all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies
- Supervise activities and work of subordinates, providing feedback and training
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Science or NEBOSH diploma
- 2 4 years relevant experience in Safety in a similar manufacturing industry
- Thorough knowledge of Safety management systems and international Safety standards
- Good communication skills
- Good written and spoken English
- Excellent interpersonal and customer focused skills
- Good time management and priority setting skills

Job Purpose
- To monitor and assist in the effective implementation of EGA's corporate Safety control/protection strategic plans, policies and programs across assigned plant operations to ensure adherence with world class Safety practices in accord with international/local legislation and standards.
Key Accountabilities
- Implements approved departmental policies, systems, processes, procedures and controls for the Safety department.
- Supervises the implementation of day to day operations assigned for the Safety department.
- Supervises the effective implementation of the incident investigation process and undertakes investigations and reporting of Safety incidents.
- Plan, organise and conduct a wide range of Safety training courses to all levels within the organisation.
- Control and coordinate all maintenance and testing of Safety protection systems throughout the plant.
- Develop and initiate routine evaluations of the workplace, advising on Safety precautions and recommending solutions.
- Be familiar with local regulatory requirements and International Standards.
- Complies with all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies.
- Supervises the activities and work of subordinates, providing formal and informal feedback and training.
- Performs other related duties or assignments as directed.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Science or NEBOSH diploma.
- 2 4 years relevant experience in Safety in a similar manufacturing industry.
- Thorough knowledge of Safety management systems and international Safety standards.
- Good communication skills.
- Good written and spoken English.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer focused skills.
