Job Description

  • Manages the daily operation of a store, including accounting/budgeting, hiring, discipline and scheduling of employees, inventory stocking, promotion of sales and maintaining the appearance of the store.
  • Typically implements merchandising, financial management, sales staff supervision and overall management at the store level under direction of region store management.
  • Provides direction to store co management and department management.
  • Ensures execution of all organization policies at the store level to achieve projected store sales and profit objectives.
  • Advises and directs department management in solving operating problems and improving department performance and conditions.
  • Lead and manage a team of 15 20 grocery store supervisors across a geographical area.
  • Supervise performance of in store grocery order fulfillment process pick, pack and handover to riders.
  • Ensure strict adherence to food handling and packing SOPs.
  • Ensure best in class operational metrics order preparation time, picker utilization, item replacement compliance, and item out of stock etc. while ensuring customer experience is not compromised.
  • Develop store specific processes/workflows where required to ensure efficient store operations.
  • Handle real time coordination with customer care and rider teams to ensure orders are dispatched on time and resolve customer complaints, if any.
  • Work closely with 3PLs picker recruitment, training, and performance management.

Qualifications

  • 5 7 years previous job experience in order fulfillment and management of pickers.
  • 2 3 years' experience of order fulfillment operations in grocery stores.
  • Data driven decision making Is comfortable with Excel/Google sheet and dashboards.
  • Basic food handling experience.
  • Has managed a large team of pickers before.
  • Well organized, able to multitask, and work in a fast paced environment.
  • Open minded; continually seeks to find new and creative ways to accomplish tasks.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
  • Excellent decision making abilities.
  • Effective issue resolution skills.
  • Passion, enthusiasm, reliability and drive results in present capacity.
