About the Role
Petrofac is seeking a Superintendent - Construction (Structural) to lead civil/structural activities on oil & gas EPC projects. The role involves supervising subcontractors, ensuring safety and quality, and coordinating with clients.

- Work with Subcontractors supervision, directing activities to project priorities, ensuring required support is available, and monitoring labour and equipment levels for efficiency
- Works to a 90 day look ahead schedule and provides leadership and guidance to site based construction supervision and contractors
- Assist subcontractor in finding best method to execute the works
- Monitor daily construction details and daily progress in the area (PPC)
- Understands Petrofac Scope of Work and subcontractor scopes, and contract type
- Supports Construction Manager / Engineer in finalizing technical decisions
- Takes ownership of safety; reviews Subcontractor HSSE plans and instigates required changes
- Verify ITP’s and QCP’s are in place before commencement of work and ensure work correctly executed first time
- Ensure Quality Control inspection on material received and report any damaged/missing material
- Coordinate with Field engineering to obtain Client approvals related to Construction
- Leads the four week schedule review meetings and reviews weekly work plans
- Provide day to day civil / structural support and advice to supervisors
Requirements
- A year of experience Civil, Structural / Building site experience in direct hire construction with an international oil & gas EPC company and with subcontractors
- Experience working in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS/FSU), Middle East, and/or North Africa (preferred)
- Prior experience working with a diverse international workforce
- Good communications skills
- Familiar with International codes and standards (BS, ASTM, ACI etc.), concrete/asphalt mix designs, laboratory testing
- Working knowledge and interpretation skills of building sectional/reinforcement and structural steel drawings
- Computer proficiency, communication & interpersonal skills, fluent in written & spoken English
- Positive 'can do' attitude & strong work ethic, conceptual thinking, problem solving & ability to work under pressure

Essential Qualifications and Skills
- A year of experience Civil, Structural / Building site experience in direct hire construction with an international oil & gas EPC company and with subcontractors.
- Preference will be given to candidates with experience in CIS/FSU, Middle East, and/or North Africa.
- Prior experience working with a diverse international workforce.
- Good communications skills.
- Familiar with International codes and standards (BS, ASTM, ACI etc.), concrete/asphalt mix designs, laboratory testing of concrete, asphalt, earth works and grouting.
- Have working knowledge and interpretation skills of building sectional/reinforcement and structural steel drawings.
- Computer proficiency, communication & interpersonal skills, fluent in written & spoken English.
- Positive 'can do' attitude & strong work ethic, conceptual thinking, problem solving & ability to work under pressure.
