About the Role
Petrofac is hiring a Superintendent - Construction (Lifting) to oversee lifting and rigging operations for oil & gas projects. The role requires developing lift plans, ensuring safety compliance, and managing lifting resources.

Responsibilities
- Develop lift and haul schedules at site and assist optimization and utilization of lifting resources
- Provide planning, selection of crane, lifting gear & equipment, instruction, and necessary safety precaution
- Ensure lifting activities are planned, scheduled, executed with highest regard for personal safety and environment excellence
- Support in developing method statement and JSA’s
- Conduct daily site audits to ensure HSE and Lifting / Hauling inspections and procedure compliance
- Monitor project lifting & rigging operations to ensure all lifts are performed in accordance with approved rigging plans and procedure
- Responsible for the day to day cranes and lifting activities at site
- Qualified person for all Load out, Load in, Hauling and Erection activities using lifting equipment
- Ensure all lifting / hauling equipment are well maintained, inspected and certified
- Ensure all personnel involved in lifting / hauling operation are trained, competent and 3rd party certified
- Conduct training of rigging personnel, VOC assessments and maintain records
- Review and approve lift plan, rigging & lifting procedure and lift studies
Requirements
- Maximum years of experience in rigging & lifting site experience in direct hire construction with an international oil & gas EPC company
- Minimum years’ experience as a rigging supervisor
- Minimum years’ experience as a Lifting Superintendent
- College graduate, preferably an engineer
- Extensive lifting and Rigging International Standards knowledge like ASME, OHSA and LOLER Regulations
- Formal training by an approved third party training institute and accredited by OPITO
- Able to produce working reports
- Able to coordinate possible SIMOPS
- Able to train and qualify riggers, rigging supervisors and crane operators
- Working knowledge and interpretation skills of lifting drawing and calculations
- General knowledge in the inspection of lifting gears and equipment

Essential Qualifications And Skills
