Structural Engineer

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review structural drawings, designs, calculations, and technical documents.
• Design foundations, beams, columns, slabs, steel structures, and supporting systems.
• Review architectural, MEP, and structural drawings for coordination and compatibility.
• Conduct site inspections and assess existing structural conditions.
• Prepare structural assessment and inspection reports when required.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, clients, and other engineering disciplines.
• Review shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and technical submissions.
• Ensure structural works comply with approved drawings, specifications, and applicable standards.
• Provide technical solutions for site-related structural issues and rectification works.
• Monitor project progress and assist with engineering requirements.
• Verify dimensions, levels, materials, and structural details at site.
• Assist with BOQs, quantity estimates, technical meetings, approvals, and project records.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in civil engineering or structural engineering.
• Relevant structural engineering experience is required, but the minimum number of years is not specified.
• Strong knowledge of structural design principles and construction practices.
• Experience with AutoCAD and structural design software is preferred.
• Knowledge of UAE construction standards and authority requirements is advantageous.
• Ability to read and interpret structural, architectural, and MEP drawings.
• Good knowledge of structural materials, construction methods, and site practices.
• Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a project team.
• UAE experience is preferred.

Preferred Skills

• AutoCAD.
• STAAD.Pro, ETABS, SAFE, or equivalent structural design software.
• Microsoft Office.
• Structural calculations and analysis.
• Site inspection and reporting.
• Technical drawing review.
• Project coordination.

Pay

• AED 1,500 to AED 2,000 per month.

Work Location

• Work is performed in person.
