Mechanical Engineer

Role Overview

Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise, and coordinate mechanical works at project sites.
• Review mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, architectural, and structural drawings.
• Coordinate mechanical works with civil, electrical, architectural, and fire and safety teams.
• Prepare shop drawings, method statements, material submittals, inspection requests, and technical reports.
• Supervise installation, testing, commissioning, maintenance, rectification, and troubleshooting works.
• Conduct inspections and coordinate with consultants, contractors, clients, suppliers, and authorities.
• Monitor progress, materials, quantities, specifications, schedules, and project requirements.
• Identify technical issues and provide engineering solutions.
• Assist with BOQs, material estimates, quotations, and project requirements.
• Support quality control, UAE standards compliance, health and safety procedures, and technical meetings.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Relevant mechanical engineering experience is required, although the source specifies the amount as “[X] years.”
• UAE construction or project experience is preferred.
• HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, or building services experience is advantageous.
• Good knowledge of mechanical installation and construction practices.
• Ability to interpret mechanical, MEP, architectural, and structural drawings.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of UAE authority requirements and applicable standards is preferred.
• Strong technical, analytical, problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a project team.
• A valid UAE driving license is advantageous.

Compensation

• Pay is AED 1,000–2,000 per month.
