About the Role
A Dubai-based engineering consultancy is hiring a DM-Approved Structural Design Engineer with minimum 3 years of UAE consultancy experience. The role involves structural analysis and design of RCC and steel structures for residential and commercial projects, ensuring compliance with local authority regulations.

Responsibilities
- Prepare structural design calculations for RCC and steel structures (low rise and mid rise buildings)
- Develop and review structural drawings, layouts, and detailing for submission and construction
- Perform structural analysis and design using approved software
- Ensure designs comply with UAE local authority requirements (Dubai Municipality, Trakhees, DDA, etc.)
- Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, and BIM teams to resolve design clashes
- Review shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements
- Attend design coordination meetings and provide technical support during authority approvals
- Assist in value engineering and design optimization where required
- Ensure compliance with international codes and standards (ACI, BS, Eurocode)
- Support site teams with design clarifications and technical queries
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Minimum 3 years of experience in an engineering consultancy in the UAE
- Strong knowledge of RCC and steel structure design
- Hands on experience with ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000, STAAD Pro, or similar software
- Proficient in AutoCAD (Revit knowledge is an advantage)
- Familiar with UAE authority submission and approval procedures
- Good understanding of construction practices and site coordination
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem solving skills

Job Summary

Requirements & Qualifications

- Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
Preferred Skills (Added Advantage)
- Experience with G+1 to G+10 building projects.
- Knowledge of BIM coordination.
- DM approval experience.
- UAE driving license.
