Responsibilities
- Manage day to day accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
- Handle project based accounting and monitor construction project costs, budgets, and profitability.
- Track project expenses, material costs, subcontractor invoices, and supplier payments.
- Monitor cash flow, payment schedules, and company financial obligations.
- Prepare and maintain budgets, cost forecasts, and variance analysis for ongoing construction projects.
- Ensure compliance with local VAT regulations, tax filings, and statutory financial requirements.
- Coordinate with auditors for internal and external audits and prepare required documentation.
- Monitor accounts receivable collections and follow up on outstanding customer payments.
- Supervise junior accounting staff and provide guidance when required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum 5–7 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in construction or contracting industry
- Strong experience in construction accounting, project costing, budgeting, and financial reporting
- Good knowledge of local VAT regulations and compliance requirements
- Proficiency in ERP systems / accounting software
- Advanced Excel skills

Job Summary
- Seeking a highly skilled and detail oriented Senior Accountant to manage accounting operations and financial reporting within a growing construction business.
- Must have strong experience in construction accounting, cost control, budgeting, project based accounting, subcontractor payments, and financial compliance.
- Excellent knowledge of accounting standards, VAT regulations, cash flow management, and ability to support management with accurate financial analysis.
Key Responsibilities

- Process payroll coordination, employee reimbursements, and final settlement calculations.
- Ensure compliance with local VAT regulations, tax filings, and statutory financial requirements.

- Monitor accounts receivable collections and follow up on outstanding customer payments.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum 5–7 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in construction or contracting industry.
- Strong experience in construction accounting, project costing, budgeting, and financial reporting.
- Good knowledge of local VAT regulations and compliance requirements.
- Experience handling subcontractor payments, supplier reconciliation, and project cost monitoring.
- Proficiency in ERP systems / accounting software (preferably ERPNext, Tally, SAP, QuickBooks, or similar).
- Advanced Excel skills including financial reporting and data analysis.
- Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- CA / ACCA / CPA / CMA qualification will be an advantage.
- Prior experience in local construction or contracting companies preferred.
- Knowledge of project billing, retention accounting, and contract based financial management preferred.
