Responsibilities
- Prepare MEP design calculations and layouts for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, drainage, and firefighting systems
- Develop concept, preliminary, and detailed MEP designs for G+4 / G+5 building projects
- Ensure designs comply with DM, DEWA, DCD, and relevant local regional standards and codes
- Prepare and review MEP design drawings, schematics, and specifications
- Coordinate with drafting teams to ensure accurate and coordinated drawings
- Review contractor shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements
- Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and other disciplines to avoid clashes
- Prepare and submit MEP documents for authority approvals and address comments
- Attend technical and coordination meetings with clients and authorities as required
- Provide technical support during construction and resolve site related MEP issues
- Ensure compliance with approved designs and consultancy QA/QC standards
- Assist in value engineering proposals without compromising system performance or safety
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering (or relevant MEP discipline)
- Minimum 3 years of local regional experience with an Engineering Consultancy
- Proven experience in MEP design for G+4 / G+5 buildings
- Strong knowledge of local regional codes and authority approval processes
- Proficient in MEP design software and AutoCAD
- Good coordination, communication, and problem solving skills
