Store Sales Manager

Role Overview

Store Operations and Sales

• Oversee daily store functioning, including opening and closing procedures and adherence to company policies.
• Monitor sales performance, identify trends, and implement strategies to meet or exceed sales targets.
• Ensure customers receive excellent service and handle complaints, inquiries, and issues professionally.
• Maintain accurate sales and expense records and manage cash-handling procedures.

Inventory and Presentation

• Monitor stock levels, order products, process shipments, conduct stock counts, and maintain inventory records.
• Keep the store clean, organized, and visually appealing with proper displays and signage.

Team Management

• Prepare work schedules and delegate tasks to ensure coverage and productivity.
• Recruit, hire, train, coach, and motivate store staff.
• Monitor staff performance, provide feedback, and conduct performance reviews.

Security and Other Duties

• Implement and enforce security measures to protect employees, customers, and store assets.
• Perform any work requested by the direct manager.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in business, management, or a related field.
• More than 5 years of experience combining leadership, operational, and customer-facing responsibilities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for staff, customer, and stakeholder interactions.
• Ability to guide and motivate a team to meet and exceed targets.
• Ability to train and develop employees.
• Ability to mediate disputes and resolve staff or customer issues.
• Understanding of sales techniques to drive revenue.
• Strong organization and attention to detail in a store environment.

Work Environment

• The role is based in a physical store environment and includes in-store operations, customer service, inventory, displays, and cash handling.
