Role Summary

  • Leads Modora, GMG Home's flagship indoor furniture showroom, a 3,000 sqm design led destination on Umm Suqeim Road, Al Barsha.
  • Leads a dual floor team of interior designers and retail salespeople.
  • Owns the made to order and customization pipeline end to end.
  • Drives cabinetry and big ticket project sales alongside day to day retail.
  • Accountable for showroom's commercial performance and P&L.

Key Success Drivers

  • Own showroom commercial performance: retail sales, project sales, footfall conversion, AOV, monthly budget.
  • Manage store P&L and operating costs; apply retail commission scheme fairly.
  • Forecast, track and report performance across retail and project revenue.
  • Lead, develop and hold accountable interior designers and retail salespeople.
  • Recruit, onboard, coach and performance manage both groups.
  • Own made to order pipeline end to end.
  • Drive cabinetry and big ticket project selling.
  • Operate designer to sales handoff discipline.
  • Maintain flagship visual merchandising standard.
  • Coordinate concession/shop in shop program.
  • Build client, designer and trade relationships.
  • Run day to day operations, stock, inventory, delivery/installation.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Retail Management, Interior Design or related field.
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in premium furniture, interiors or design led retail.
  • At least 5 years managing a large showroom or flagship floor and leading a sales team.
  • Demonstrable experience of project based / interior design selling and made to order furniture.
  • Fluent professional English; Arabic is an advantage.
  • Confident with POS/ERP (D365 or equivalent), CRM and stock management tools.
  • Strong commercial numeracy and visual merchandising ability.

Functional/Technical Competencies

  • Premium furniture retail leadership with project sales and made to order fluency.
  • Running a large, design led showroom floor and its P&L.
  • Leading and developing interior designers and commissioned salespeople.
  • Command of made to order/customization workflow.
  • Ability to quote and close cabinetry and whole room/villa projects.
  • Strong visual merchandising judgement.
  • Disciplined use of POS, CRM and stock management systems.
