Job Summary

  • The Sales Executive in the FMCG industry will be responsible for managing and expanding the company's customer base within a designated territory.

Job Responsibilities

  • Achieve sales targets and objectives within the assigned territory.
  • Identify new business opportunities and potential markets for the company's products.
  • Manage sales operations, regularly monitors day to day operations, including checks on prospective clients, negotiations and the design of competitive sales packages.
  • Conduct regular market analysis to stay informed of competitors' activities, market trends, and consumer needs.
  • Coordinate with the category team to ensure effective product placement and promotion.
  • Monitor stock levels and ensure product availability in all relevant outlets.
  • Promote the company products to new and existing clients and secure new and repeat business by networking at various sales and corporate events.
  • Implement promotional activities and ensure in store fundamentals are executed as per each brand guidelines.
  • Adhere to the journey plans and coverage plan and ensure customers are maintained for a steady growth.
  • Identify opportunities to increase SOS (share of shelf) and brand visibility at the store level.
  • Handle market returns efficiently and manages to reduce wastages to the required level.
  • Identify potential customers and ensure they are in line with the strategy of the Business.

Functional / Technical Competencies

  • The incumbent must have a solid understanding of sales principles, including account management, relationship building, and sales strategy.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems is essential for managing client data and tracking sales activities.
  • The incumbent should have strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple accounts effectively.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills are required to build client relationships and close sales.
  • Additionally, analytical skills are needed to interpret sales data and make informed decisions that support business growth.
  • Good excel and power point knowledge.
  • Complete knowledge of MS office would be an added advantage.
