Summary

  • Clio is the global leader in legal AI technology, empowering legal professionals and law firms.

Job Duties

  • Define long term forecasting roadmap and establish architectural standards.
  • Lead architectural design of complex ML systems.
  • Architect reusable platform level forecasting frameworks.
  • Own development of tier 1 models using advanced techniques.
  • Act as subject matter expert for Generative AI; design RAG architectures.
  • Define team’s technical standards for CI/CD, model versioning, and automated testing.
  • Audit codebases for production ready quality.
  • Own end to end design and evaluation of high impact experiments.
  • Provide technical guidance to junior Data Scientists.
  • Influence roadmap by identifying blind spots in data strategy.
  • Partner with Data Engineering and Product.
  • Lead implementation of Model Interpretability (XAI) frameworks.

Skills & Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, or highly quantitative field.
  • Mastery of System Design and state of the art time series research.
  • Leadership without Authority: ability to influence executive leadership and mentor senior staff.
  • Deep Technical Stack: expertise in Python and SQL; advanced AWS and Databricks; proficiency in Spark, Ray, Snowflake/Databricks.
  • Modern AI Toolkit: hands on with LangChain, Haystack, vector databases, PyTorch or TensorFlow.
  • System Design: strong understanding of microservices, API design for ML at scale.
  • Education: Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Physics, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field.
  • Communication: ability to persuade executive leadership on technical investments.

Salary Range

  • Expected salary range for this role is CAD 153,600 to CAD 192,000 to CAD 230,400 CAD.
