Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the on site structural engineering team, ensuring work adheres to project specifications, quality standards, and safety protocols
- Manage the day to day structural activities on site, coordinating with contractors and subcontractors
- Conduct regular inspections of structural elements, including foundations, columns, beams, and slabs, ensuring they meet project and regulatory standards
- Conduct additional structural calculations and provide technical guidance to ensure construction methods are safe and compliant
- Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, and other engineering disciplines to align structural activities with overall project goals and timelines
- Facilitate clear communication between stakeholders, addressing structural concerns and clarifying technical details to maintain workflow efficiency
- Provide input to the monthly progress report as directed by the Resident Engineer
- Maintain detailed site documentation, including daily reports, inspection records, and non compliance reports, for project tracking and audit purposes
- Ensure all on site structural activities comply with local building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards
Requirements
- Master’s / Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited institution
- 12+ years of experience in structural engineering, with a strong background in infrastructure projects
- Strong understanding of building systems, codes, and regulations
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize workloads and meet deadlines
