Role Overview
The Senior Project Engineer will lead PMC engineering activities and contractor oversight during the engineering and procurement phases of energy and resources projects.
The role provides technical, project management, governance, and stakeholder coordination leadership across complex multidisciplinary projects.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day work allocation and supervision for the PMC Engineering group.
- Oversee the contractor during engineering and procurement phases.
- Ensure engineering personnel are competent for the PMC contract scope.
- Develop and implement engineering processes, procedures, and systems.
- Provide PMC services, technical opinions, recovery plans, and risk mitigation advice.
- Coordinate design reviews covering constructability, testability, operability, maintainability, safety, and materials.
- Coordinate technical reviews and process vendor documents.
- Secure Owner approval for engineering design in accordance with contract requirements.
- Manage interfaces across piping, mechanical, structural, E&I, and specialist disciplines.
- Lead project team organization, objectives, delegation, meetings, and stakeholder coordination.
- Achieve schedule, cost, quality, and HSE requirements through project acceptance.
- Conduct technical bid evaluations, bid clarifications, evaluation reports, and recommendations.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering from a four-year program is required.
- At least 15 years of overall oil and gas experience is required.
- At least 5 years of GCC experience is required.
- Experience with FEED and EPC projects is required.
- Experience in PMC roles is required.
- Experience in gas processing and midstream projects is required.
- Previous offshore project experience is required, including at least 5 years of offshore experience.
- ADNOC experience is preferable.
Project Setting
- The work covers contractor home offices, project interfaces, and offshore project environments.
- Site visits are required to demonstrate safety leadership.
