Sr. Program Specialist

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Manage project schedules, budgets, contracts, technical specifications, and client expectations.
• Coordinate workforce, material orders, and subcontractor installations.
• Review contractual documents and prioritize project tasks.
• Report project progress to the project manager.
• Evaluate subcontractor performance.
• Direct and monitor technical teams on site.
• Prepare project closeout documents and warranties.
• Ensure health, safety, and statutory compliance.
• Conduct hazard and risk assessments under Honeywell policy and regulatory requirements.
• Provide client advice and recommendations and support customer satisfaction.

Required Qualifications

• At least 5 years of program or project management experience is required.
• At least 2 years of experience in building automation, controls, security, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire, contracts, or construction is required.
• A valid G driver’s license is required.
• The candidate must be able to acquire Secret Federal Government Clearances for Kanata worksites.
• The role requires travel of up to 30% within the province.

Preferred Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or an MBA in Engineering or Business Management is valued.
• Building control systems experience and knowledge of security and fire alarm systems are valued.
• PMP certification and industrial project execution experience are valued.
• Strong communication, collaboration, facilitation, negotiation, organization, flexibility, and attention to detail are valued.
• The ability to work with limited supervision and manage multiple projects is valued.

Compensation

• The annual base salary range is CAD 100,000 to CAD 120,000 in Ottawa, Ontario.
