Senior Mechanical Engineer responsible for heavy equipment erection, installation, and commissioning activities.
The role supports industrial and jetty-area project execution in Dahej, Gujarat.
Qualification and Experience
- B.E. or B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering is required.
- The role requires 15–20 years of experience in mechanical construction and heavy equipment erection.
- Experience in jetty, port, marine, chemical, petrochemical, refinery, or industrial projects is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead heavy equipment erection, installation, and commissioning activities in the jetty area.
- Supervise construction contractors and ensure safe and timely project execution.
- Monitor lifting plans, heavy haulage operations, alignment, and mechanical completion activities.
- Coordinate with Civil, Electrical, Piping, and Project teams for seamless execution.
- Review erection methodologies, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.
- Ensure compliance with project quality, safety, and statutory requirements.
- Track project progress, resolve site issues, and support commissioning activities.
Required Capabilities
- Strong knowledge of cranes, lifting operations, and rotating and static equipment installation.
- Strong stakeholder management, contractor coordination, and team leadership skills.
- The stated competencies include ability to learn, job knowledge, and a strategic mindset.
