Civil Engineer

About the Role

Candidate Profile

• B.E. or B.Tech in Civil Engineering is required.
• The role requires 8–12 years of relevant experience in industrial project construction and execution.
• Strong understanding of civil engineering practices, construction methodologies, and safety standards is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Review civil and structural engineering drawings, designs, and technical specifications.
• Supervise construction activities for foundations, buildings, equipment foundations, pipe racks, roads, drains, and other infrastructure works.
• Coordinate with Mechanical, Piping, Electrical, Instrumentation, and Project Management teams.
• Monitor contractor performance and ensure work follows approved drawings, specifications, and project standards.
• Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with quality, safety, and environmental requirements.
• Review construction methodologies, material submittals, and work schedules.
• Resolve technical issues arising during project execution.
• Track project progress and prepare periodic reports on civil construction activities.
• Support pre-commissioning and project handover activities.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and industry best practices.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of civil and structural engineering for industrial projects.
• Experience in process plants, chemical plants, petrochemical facilities, refineries, or manufacturing units.
• Familiarity with RCC, structural steel, industrial foundations, and infrastructure works.
• Knowledge of relevant IS Codes and international engineering standards.
• Ability to review engineering drawings, BOQs, and technical specifications.
• Strong project coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and project management tools.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in EPC or PMC project environments is preferred.
• Exposure to greenfield and brownfield industrial projects is preferred.
• Experience in site supervision, quality control, and contractor management is preferred.
• Knowledge of construction planning and project scheduling is preferred.
