Tata Consulting Engineers provides integrated engineering and project consultancy services across infrastructure, power, and resources.
The role supports engineering services for large and small projects and works with project and engineering managers.
The position provides leadership and assists in resolving technical issues related to the discipline.
Experience and Qualifications
- B.E. or B.Tech in Civil Engineering.
- M.Tech in Structural Engineering is preferable.
- At least 10 years of experience, including hydro project experience.
- Experience on at least one detailed engineering project for a hydro project with 25 MW capacity.
- Independent team management experience in a hydro-project consulting environment.
- Graduate or postgraduate qualification in an engineering discipline.
- Professional engineer registration is preferable.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and design medium and large hydropower projects.
- Prepare layouts, tender documents, bid evaluations, and reviews of contractor and designer drawings.
- Analyze and design hydro structures including dams, barrages, underground structures, and powerhouses.
- Conduct feasibility and due diligence studies.
- Perform RCC analysis and design using relevant codes and standards.
- Prepare BOQ estimates and drawings.
- Coordinate with clients, site teams, and project stakeholders to resolve technical issues.
- Review MQP and FQP documentation for civil works.
Technical Competencies
- Familiarity with Indian, British, American, and European codes is advantageous.
- Hands-on AutoCAD experience is advantageous.
- The role requires accountability, decision quality, resourcefulness, persuasion, adaptability, and resilience.
- The role requires the ability to manage complexity and drive results.
