About the role
Northern Trust is seeking a highly experienced Senior Lead Software Engineer for an AI-powered Code Security Scanner platform.
The platform uses generative AI and security automation to identify, validate, and report software vulnerabilities across enterprise codebases.
The role combines user-facing applications, Python automation, AI integrations, cloud-native services, and security controls.
Platform ownership
- Serve as lead technical developer for the AI Code Scanner platform.
- Implement modernization, enhancements, scalability initiatives, and long-term architectural evolution.
- Support the platform’s strategic development and ongoing enhancement.
Development and automation
- Enhance the React web application, dashboards, workflows, and administrative capabilities.
- Maintain Python orchestration and scanning services.
- Integrate Azure AI Foundry and LLM-based security analysis.
- Design GitHub Actions workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and ephemeral runner infrastructure.
- Improve reliability, observability, automation, and deployment processes.
