Role Overview

Senior Analyst role focused on risk data management, data governance, data quality, and regulatory reporting.

The role supports financial risk and financial crime initiatives across business, risk, compliance, and technology teams.

Major Duties

  • Drive data governance practices covering data quality, metadata management, lineage, controls, and stewardship.
  • Support regulatory reporting processes and internal and external regulatory submissions.
  • Support data sourcing, integration, transformation, and validation across multiple systems.
  • Provide traceability and documentation for audits, regulatory examinations, and issue remediation.
  • Partner with data owners and business stakeholders to remediate data quality issues.
  • Support initiatives across financial risk, AML, KYC, fraud, and financial crime domains.
  • Perform data profiling, reconciliation, and root cause analysis across complex datasets.
  • Identify opportunities for automation, process optimization, and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in the risk or banking domain.
  • MBA in Finance, Risk Management, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of financial risk and/or financial crime domains.
  • Experience in data governance, data management, data quality, or regulatory reporting.
  • Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies and project management practices.

Required Skills

  • Basic SQL and data analysis skills.
  • Ability to investigate data anomalies, perform root cause analysis, and communicate findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong project management, issue management, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to build effective partnerships across business, technology, risk, and compliance teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Tools

  • Experience with Power BI, Sigma, Snowflake, and other business intelligence tools is good to have.
