Role Overview
Northern Trust is seeking a technical leader to lead Azure infrastructure-as-code quality assurance and contribute to application development using Python, Spring Boot, and React.
The role bridges cloud infrastructure, automated testing, platform reliability, developer productivity, and full-stack application engineering.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect automated test strategies for Azure IaC using Terraform, ARM/Bicep, policy compliance, and drift detection.
- Develop Python automation for test execution, resource provisioning, configuration validation, and infrastructure reporting.
- Build dashboards, reporting tools, and workflow automation platforms with Spring Boot and React.
- Integrate IaC quality gates into CI/CD systems such as GitHub Actions.
- Establish drift detection, root cause analysis, remediation, continuous compliance, and configuration management frameworks.
- Collaborate with architects, security specialists, and application developers and promote practices through reviews, workshops, and documentation.
- Develop test cases for Azure modules, deployments, and policies; monitor drift; document findings; and improve resilience.
- Maintain supporting applications and stay current with Azure, testing, governance, IaC, and full-stack development trends.
