Transguard Workforce Solutions is recruiting a SQL Server Data Warehouse Developer for a 6-month contract in Abu Dhabi. The role involves designing and maintaining a data warehouse on Microsoft SQL Server using Medallion Architecture, with strong T-SQL and dimensional modeling skills required.

Responsibilities

Design and implement Bronze, Silver, and Gold data warehouse layers on SQL Server.
Develop and maintain fact tables, dimension tables, and star schema models.
Build and optimize stored procedures, views, functions, and ETL processes.
Implement incremental loading using watermark based logic and MERGE/UPSERT techniques.
Develop SCD Type 1 and Type 2 dimension management processes.
Establish and maintain data quality controls, validation rules, and reconciliation processes.
Create error logging and audit frameworks to track data issues and load history.
Enforce data integrity through primary keys, foreign keys, constraints, and business rules.
Document data lineage, source to target mappings, and technical specifications.
Optimize SQL queries, indexing strategies, and database performance.
Develop reporting ready datasets, views, and aggregation layers for Power BI and SSAS.
Support BI teams by ensuring data models align with reporting and analytics requirements.

Requirements

5+ years of hands on SQL Server development in a data warehousing environment
Proven experience building enterprise data warehouse solutions and layered architectures
Strong experience designing and maintaining reporting ready data models
Demonstrated ability to develop scalable, high performance SQL solutions
Strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server (2016+) and T SQL
Familiarity with Power BI reporting environments
Experience using Git/version control and Agile delivery methodologies
Advanced knowledge of complex joins, CTEs, window functions, subqueries, stored procedures, views, functions, triggers, MERGE/UPSERT, indexing, query tuning
Experience with data warehousing and dimensional modeling, Medallion Architecture, fact and dimension table design, SCD Type 1 & Type 2
Experience with data quality frameworks, audit logging, and reconciliation controls

Job Summary

To design, develop, and maintain a scalable, production grade data warehouse on Microsoft SQL Server.
The successful candidate will transform raw data ingested from Oracle Fusion into a structured Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold), ensuring high data quality, robust governance, and optimized reporting for Power BI and SSAS.
This is a hands on development role requiring strong expertise in T SQL, data warehousing, dimensional modeling, ETL processes, and performance optimization.

Data Warehouse Development

Design and implement Bronze, Silver, and Gold data warehouse layers on SQL Server.
Develop and maintain fact tables, dimension tables, and star schema models.
Build and optimize stored procedures, views, functions, and ETL processes.

Job Requirements

5+ years of hands on SQL Server development in a data warehousing environment.
Proven experience building enterprise data warehouse solutions and layered architectures.
Strong experience designing and maintaining reporting ready data models.
Demonstrated ability to develop scalable, high performance SQL solutions.
Strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server (2016+) and T SQL.
Familiarity with Power BI reporting environments.
