Organization and division

Red Sea Sports and Entertainment is a subsidiary of Red Sea Global responsible for land and marine sports, adventure, and leisure experiences at The Red Sea destination.

The role supports Galaxea within the Sports and Entertainment division.

Job purpose

The Reception and Retail Specialist is a site-based position and a key first impression for visitors at the center.

The role supports center administration, retail operations, guest service, and understanding of the activities offered.

Organization is essential to delivering a high-quality visitor experience.

General responsibilities

  • Assist the Center Manager with the smooth running of the center asset.
  • Assist the Senior Manager with developing centers at other assets.
  • Maintain the professional appearance of the center and conduct sales professionally.
  • Manage pre-opening inventory, retail stock, purchasing budgets, and stock sufficiency.

Pre-opening responsibilities

  • Work with the Center Manager to develop and deliver the center and its required components.
  • Support RSSE during delivery to achieve targets, initiate operational phasing, and deliver projects as designed.
  • Learn the retail products, local activities, courses, materials, paperwork, and course standards.

Post-opening responsibilities

  • Ensure center activities are conducted safely and professionally.
  • Maintain accurate retail records and direct day-to-day retail outlet operations.
  • Improve customer service, store sales, merchandising, and profitability.
  • Manage customer needs and complaints while maintaining safety, cleanliness, environmental, and uniform standards.
  • Prepare supplier orders, support course registration and equipment rentals, take bookings, and answer activity questions.

Policies and improvement

  • Follow relevant policies, processes, operating procedures, standards, and instructions.
  • Apply safety, quality, environmental, and legislative controls for employees and the public.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and productivity improvement.

Qualifications and experience

  • Hospitality track record, proven sales record, and knowledge of reception industry practices are required.
  • Excellent written and spoken English, communication, customer service, and complaint-handling skills are required.
  • The role requires time management, self-motivation, independence, teamwork, discretion, and sound judgment.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency, social media experience, and dive center administration ability are required.
  • The role requires an ability to work with different cultures and nationalities and serve high-end clientele.
  • Interest in marine science, research, conservation, and education is required.
  • A non-English language, preferably Arabic, and a marine conservation background are desirable.

Work environment

  • The role is described as site-based and involves working in a dive resort environment.
