About the Role

Responsibilities
- Interpret all types of general radiological examinations, including fluoroscopy, special procedures, angiography, ultrasound, radioisotopes, CT, and MRI scanning
- Issue written instructions to technologists regarding methods and means of execution and improvement of x ray examinations and all imaging studies
- Inspect x ray requests for adequacy and coordinate with specialists to reduce unnecessary patient radiation
- Design training and qualification plans for radiologists and technologists based on staff performance and international standards
- Provide written consultation reports for each study, including main and differential diagnoses
- Supervise clinical output of technologists in CT and MRI services
- Participate in quality assurance activities and develop internal standards and policies
- Provide on call emergency coverage
Requirements
- At least 3 5 years post qualification experience at Specialist level
- At least 1 year Specialist level experience from a Tier 1 country as specified by the UAE healthcare regulator
- Basic medical degree and completion of a specialty qualification/education programme (fellowship/diploma) recognised by the relevant UAE healthcare authority
- Certification and registration in a speciality recognised by relevant UAE healthcare authority
- Active and valid life support certification (e.g. BLS, ACLS, PALS, ATLS, NRP)

Duties and Responsibilities
- Comply with rules, regulations and procedures of practicing the Profession
- Issue written instructions to technologists in relation to methods and means of execution and improvement of x ray examinations and all Imaging studies
- Issue list of requirements for special investigations, determine and organize all precautions for possible complications
- Inspect x ray requests in respect to adequacy and coordinate with corresponding specialists to reduce unnecessary patient radiation
- Design training and qualification plans of radiologists and technologists based on evaluation of staff performance and international standards
- Organize activities to keep staff informed about latest developments in technique and technology
- Interpret all types of general radiological examinations, including fluoroscopy, special procedures, angiography, ultrasound, radioisotopes, CT, and MRI scanning
- Work with technologists and instruct in specialized views and positioning when unusual or difficult problems arise
- Participate in the Quality Improvement Program of the hospital to meet international standards
- Continuous evaluation of all imaging and radiographic equipment for reliability and quality assurance
- Provide written consultation reports for each study, including main and differential diagnoses
- Provide on call emergency coverage
Qualifications
- At least 3 5 years post qualification experience at Specialist level (independent of country)
- At least 1 year Specialist level experience from a Tier 1 country as specified by the UAE healthcare regulator
- Basic medical degree and completion of a specialty qualification/education programme (fellowship/diploma) recognised by the relevant UAE healthcare authority
- Certification and registration in a speciality recognised by relevant UAE healthcare authority
- Active and valid life support certification (e.g. BLS, ACLS, PALS, ATLS, NRP)
