Role Overview

Advanced Concepts develops and deploys autonomous systems, precision munitions, cruise missiles, and guided artillery technologies.

The IT Systems Specialist will administer infrastructure and systems supporting organizational operations.

Core Accountabilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain servers and operating systems for performance and reliability.
  • Manage accounts, permissions, access controls, technical support, and troubleshooting.
  • Maintain databases, data integrity, backups, and recovery processes.
  • Develop backup strategies and disaster recovery plans.
  • Apply system and application patches and manage controlled IT changes.
  • Resolve incidents and outages, monitor performance, and maintain service availability.
  • Document configurations and procedures and collaborate with IT support and other departments.
  • Support IT policies, user training, vendor coordination, and technology improvements.

Experience

  • At least five years of IT infrastructure administration experience focused on servers and system management for a mid-sized organization.
  • At least three years of experience in a system management role for a mid-sized organization.

Knowledge and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Relevant certification such as Microsoft Certified Windows Server, CCNA, or VCP is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of NIST 800-53, CNSSI 1253, data classification, and data security zones.
  • Understanding of IPsec, SSL, PKI, encryption technologies, and least-privilege access.

Technical Skills

  • Experience with VMware or Hyper-V virtualization technologies.
  • Knowledge of Windows and Linux server and network infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory and Exchange infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, backup and recovery solutions, IAM, and RBAC.
  • Understanding of data encryptors and data diodes.
