- Support kitchen operations by preparing and delivering high quality dishes in line with recipes, presentation standards, and guest expectations
- Assist in maintaining exceptional food quality, consistency, hygiene, and food safety standards in accordance with company policies and HACCP requirements
- Collaborate with culinary leadership to develop seasonal menus, innovative dishes, and creative culinary concepts using premium ingredients
- Support the training, coaching, and development of kitchen colleagues, ensuring adherence to standards and best practices
- Contribute to efficient kitchen operations by managing resources effectively, minimizing waste, and supporting cost control initiatives
- Stay informed of culinary trends, techniques, and industry innovations to continuously enhance menu offerings and the guest experience
Requirements
- College Degree in Culinary Arts or a related discipline from an accredited culinary institution
- Completion of a full culinary apprenticeship and professional chef training programme
- Minimum 5 years of culinary experience within luxury hotels or high end hospitality environments
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen operations and food safety standards
- Passion for culinary excellence, creativity, and continuous learning

- An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Sous Chef to join Jumeirah Al Qasr from September 2026 onwards.
- The main duties and responsibilities of this role include supporting kitchen operations, maintaining food quality, collaborating on menu development, training kitchen colleagues, managing resources, and staying informed of culinary trends.
Key Responsibilities
