Job Overview

  • The Support Engineer will work in support team in ensuring the smooth operation, support, and maintenance of the Fuel Retail System across 500+ fuel stations and the Head Office.
  • This includes overseeing system support for Back Office Systems, Point of Sale (POS) terminals, bank terminals, and all other relevant systems.
  • The role requires hands on expertise in infrastructure management and experience in leading a team in a technical environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • System & Infrastructure Support: Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve all application, user and system issues.
  • Ensure high performance of Retail systems across Head Office and all sites.
  • Provide support for MS SQL Server based systems (Head Office, Back Office, POS).
  • User & Client Support: Liaise with users at Head Office and fuel stations to resolve technical issues.
  • Provide training and guidance to users on system functionalities as required.
  • Work closely with vendors and external support teams for any third party system issues.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Technical Expertise: Background in infrastructure support (networking, servers, storage, cloud, security).
  • Familiarity with POS systems, bank terminals, etc.
  • Experience of Implement, test, configure, troubleshooting and supporting application.
  • Experience in Providing technical support to end user as per IT related issues
  • Experience in Writing queries and manage MS SQL and writing scripts.
  • Good understanding of Web Services, API and IP based protocols
  • Knowledge of networking protocols, firewalls, VPNs, and other network management tools.
  • Experience: Minimum 1 2 years of experience in IT support roles.
  • Experience working with retail systems or similar environments with distributed sites.
  • Personal Attributes: Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and develop a high performing support team.
  • Able to manage high pressure situations and lead incident responses.
  • Self motivated, detail oriented, and able to work independently when required.
