The employer is seeking a detail-oriented Software QA Analyst to evaluate software applications.
The role ensures applications meet functional, technical, and business requirements.
The position requires QA methodology knowledge, analytical ability, test design skills, defect analysis, and clear communication.
Responsibilities
- Analyze requirements, user stories, and technical specifications to identify testing needs.
- Create and maintain test plans, cases, scenarios, and documentation.
- Execute manual and automated tests across applications and environments.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, system, usability, and exploratory testing.
- Identify, reproduce, document, track, and analyze software defects.
- Retest fixes and perform regression testing to confirm changes do not introduce defects.
- Collaborate with development, product, business analysis, and other stakeholders.
- Perform cross-browser, cross-platform, and device testing when required.
- Maintain test results, defect, coverage, and QA activity records.
- Support release validation, deployment readiness, user acceptance testing, and production validation.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of software quality assurance and testing methodologies.
- Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle.
- Experience creating and executing comprehensive test cases and scenarios.
- Familiarity with test management and bug tracking tools.
- Knowledge of functional, regression, integration, system, and exploratory testing.
- Knowledge of web applications, APIs, databases, and basic SQL is beneficial.
- Familiarity with automated testing concepts and tools is beneficial.
- Strong analytical, critical-thinking, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience in software QA, software testing, quality assurance, QA analysis, or a similar role.
- Experience analyzing requirements and developing test cases and scenarios.
- Hands-on manual testing and experience tracking software defects.
- Familiarity with Jira, Azure DevOps, TestRail, or similar platforms.
- Understanding of software development and release processes.
- Experience with web or software applications and functional or regression testing.
- Ability to communicate technical findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Reliable internet connection and a suitable setup for remote work.
- English proficiency is required when working with English-speaking teams or technical documentation.
