Position Overview
The Software Engineer II will build secure, scalable, and high-performing serverless microservices using TypeScript on AWS.
The role owns services end to end from architecture and implementation through monitoring and continuous improvement.
The position is intended for a mid-level engineer and includes responsible use of AI-powered development tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement secure, scalable, high-performing AWS serverless solutions.
- Build event-driven and highly observable services using infrastructure as code and AWS ecosystem services.
- Optimize development and delivery practices to improve team productivity and deploy continuously to production.
- Work collaboratively through pairing, planning, team execution, and Agile iterative improvements.
- Use AI tools for coding, debugging, testing, research, and code reviews while validating outputs and applying judgment.
Required Experience and Skills
- Three to five years of professional software engineering experience in an agile, fast-paced environment.
- Use AI for productivity, apply prompt engineering, and evaluate AI outputs responsibly for bias, cost, and ethics.
