The Software Engineer II supports and maintains code that delivers new system features and resolves reported bugs.
The role contributes to bug triage, enhancements, system monitoring, alerting, scalability, and reliable operation.
The position emphasizes backend development, APIs, databases, distributed systems, frontend familiarity, AWS, and scalable production systems.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Investigate anomalies, perform root-cause analysis, and develop permanent resolutions for production bugs and complex incidents.
- Troubleshoot REST API, microservice, and third-party SaaS integrations and understand upstream and downstream dependencies.
- Participate in code reviews, monitoring, CI/CD, deployments, change management, and release management.
- Own critical incidents and outages, drive automation and performance improvements, and approve production changes.
