Role Overview
An award-winning hotel group in Europe is seeking an experienced Mechanical Technician for its Engineering team.
Maintain, repair, and operate hotel mechanical systems and equipment to support a safe and comfortable environment for guests and staff.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on hotel mechanical systems and equipment.
- Inspect and repair HVAC, pumps, motors, boilers, plumbing-related mechanical equipment, and other building systems.
- Monitor equipment performance, identify faults, complete repairs, and minimize downtime.
- Conduct inspections and preventive maintenance in guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house areas, and plant rooms.
- Use and maintain mechanical tools, equipment, and testing instruments safely.
- Assist with equipment installation, replacement, and commissioning when required.
- Maintain maintenance records and follow health, safety, hygiene, and environmental procedures.
- Coordinate with engineering staff and external contractors and keep the work area organized.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Technician or similar role in hotels, resorts, facilities management, commercial properties, or comparable technical environments.
- A technical or vocational qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Maintenance, HVAC, or a related field is preferred.
- Knowledge of mechanical systems, equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, HVAC, pumps, motors, and boilers is required.
- Ability to diagnose faults, perform repairs and preventive maintenance, and read basic technical drawings and equipment specifications.
- Proficiency in English is required.
- Willingness to relocate and work in Cyprus if selected.
