Role Overview

Lead and develop SEND provision across the Primary School.

Promote inclusive practice, learning, wellbeing, personal development, belonging, and achievement for pupils with SEND.

Join the Middle Leadership Team and work with the Head of Inclusion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safeguard students and promote their welfare in line with school policies and behaviour expectations.
  • Develop and oversee the Inclusion Improvement Plan, inclusion policy, and curriculum.
  • Liaise with parents and external agencies to support pupil provision and home-school partnerships.
  • Attend leadership meetings and provide strategic input across school phases.
  • Assess pupils with SEND, monitor progress, and inform provision.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individual support and learning plans.
  • Provide advice, training, and professional development for teachers and support staff.
  • Coordinate interventions, staffing deployment, timetables, records, admissions, transitions, and targeted support.
  • Monitor BML student progress and wellbeing and ensure interventions are in place.

Required Candidate Profile

  • Native-level English language skills are required.
  • NASENCO or an equivalent qualification is required.
  • At least two years of SEN or inclusion-focused experience in the UK or a reputable British school is required.
  • A track record of outstanding teaching and learning in a caring, nurturing classroom environment is required.
  • The National Award for SEN Coordination and other additional qualifications are desired.
