Role Overview
Provide patient administration, reception, registration, insurance, and claims-support services in a hospital setting.
Work with front-desk, billing, clinical, and head-office insurance teams.
Patient Administration
- Greet patients, direct them to departments, and provide routine hospital information.
- Register new patients and update patient information in the system.
- Answer calls, check emails, and respond to queries promptly.
- Maintain accurate patient and insurance records.
Insurance and Billing
- Verify insurance coverage and eligibility and maintain policy, benefit, and limit records.
- Monitor pending approvals, prepare claim documentation, and resolve discrepancies.
- Explain coverage and co-payments and handle claims, approval, and reimbursement queries.
- Assist with insurance billing issues and coordinate escalations with the head-office insurance team.
- Guide staff on ICD and CDT coding to help prevent claim rejections.
Quality and Compliance
- Follow hospital policies, infection-control requirements, patient-safety procedures, and JCI-related regulations.
- Maintain confidentiality, data accuracy, and privacy compliance.
- Handle complaints fairly and professionally and participate in quality assurance activities.
- Maintain a safe and clean reception area and follow assigned shift schedules.
Qualifications
- College diploma in any discipline or a related field.
