About the Role

  • Remitly is seeking a Software Engineer II to shape tooling and infrastructure for scalable AI/ML and GenAI products.
  • Collaborate with AI/ML, Data Science, Data, and Infrastructure teams to design systems for seamless AI/ML experimentation, training, deployment, serving, and evaluation.
  • Report to the AI Platform Engineering Manager.

You Will

  • Design and build backend services in Go on AWS to support high scale AI/ML workloads.
  • Develop and enhance core AI/ML platform offerings—including Feature Store, ML Orchestration, and Model Deployment & Serving.
  • Develop and deploy GenAI applications.
  • Partner closely with data scientists, ML engineers, and software engineers across multiple domains.
  • Drive infrastructure optimization and automation, improving system scalability, reliability, and developer velocity.
  • Collaborate with product managers and cross functional teams to align engineering initiatives with product and business goals.

You Have

  • 4+ years of experience developing production applications, ideally in Go or Java.
  • 1+ years of experience working on platform and/or infrastructure teams.
  • Experience deploying and maintaining containerized applications and supporting systems.
  • Strong cross team collaboration skills.
  • Experience building and operating core ML infrastructure (e.g., model serving, ML orchestration, feature stores, research environments).
  • Experience with modern CI/CD tools and practices (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins).

Compensation Details

  • Starting base salary range: $124,000 $155,000.
  • Equity is part of total compensation plan.
