Responsibilities
- Jointly drive regional strategy with BD head and develop tiered partner strategy and annual plan
- Engage in quarterly planning with cross functional teams to develop goals and priorities
- Own and drive initiatives with key strategic partners, including cost efficiencies, speed, quality, and new product enablement
- Negotiate renewals, amendments, economics and expand product footprint
- Identify growth and optimization opportunities using analysis and insights
- Conduct regular performance reviews with largest partners and develop action plans
- Cultivate relationships with regulatory authorities and industry associations
- Coordinate responses to inbound and outbound queries related to partner operations
- Serve as point of contact for resolving complex partner escalations
- Analyze partner scorecards and metrics to drive continuous improvement
- Liaise with Remitly teams to orchestrate successful onboarding of new partners
Requirements
- Strong functional background in strategic partner management
- Experience in payments or remittance space
- Strong understanding of payments ecosystem across North and West Africa
- Proven ability to influence and negotiate externally and internally
- Fluency in French and English

About the Role
- Remitly is hiring for an Account Manager, Francophone Africa to drive commercial, product and operational performance of strategic money movement partners for North and West Africa.
- Partners may include banks, aggregators, mobile wallets, regulators and other third parties.
- The role also assists with new partner onboarding and supports stakeholder management for regulators.
You Will
- Jointly drive regional strategy with BD head and develop tiered partner strategy and annual plan.
- Engage in quarterly planning with cross functional teams to develop goals and priorities.
- Own and drive initiatives with key strategic partners, driving key metrics including cost efficiencies, speed, quality, working capital efficiencies and new product enablement.
- Negotiate renewals, amendments, economics and expand product footprint while driving partnerships growth.
- Identify opportunities for growth and optimisation using analysis and insights.
- Conduct regular performance reviews with largest partners and develop action plans.
- Cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders, including regulatory authorities and industry associations.
- Work closely across internal teams to navigate challenges and mitigate risks.
- Coordinate responses to inbound and outbound queries related to partner operations and performance.
- Serve as point of contact for resolving complex partner escalations.
- Analyze partner scorecards, metrics, and assessments to drive continuous improvement.
- Liaise with relevant Remitly teams to orchestrate successful onboarding of new partners.
