Role Overview
This is a new head-count posting for a Software Developer - Team Lead role supporting software quality and testing.
The role is hybrid and requires reporting to the Markham Elevation Center three times per week at minimum, or at another frequency set by the business.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Build an effective QA team, mentor team members, and manage resources to support projects and quality delivery.
- Guide and provide feedback on team members' performance and behavior.
- Support the EGM with hiring and acquisition of new talent.
- Define test strategies and test plans based on project software development plans.
- Design detailed test cases and set up test environments with the team.
- Develop test tools and scripts to automate testing.
- Prepare test reports, provide initial issue analysis, and contribute to defect prevention.
- Participate in continuous improvement of test processes and methodologies.
Required Skills and Experience
- 10+ years of software quality assurance or test experience in the mobile or automotive industry.
- At least 3 years of experience testing Android code.
- At least 3 years as a Scrum Lead, Product Owner or Manager, or Team Lead.
