Work Arrangement
- The role is hybrid, with a minimum expectation of reporting to the office three days per week.
- Oshawa is the preferred location, with Markham also available.
The Role
Lead the software quality and test team within Data Engineering at General Motors Canada.
Own software quality and test execution across Device Data Capture and Data Engineering.
Drive test strategy, automation architecture, technical problem-solving, and release readiness across embedded software, vehicle architectures, communication protocols, and cloud data ingestion.
Team Leadership and Development
- Build, lead, and grow a high-performing quality engineering team through hiring, onboarding, performance management, coaching, succession planning, and career development.
- Set goals, close skills gaps, provide technical mentorship, and introduce advanced testing methodologies and tools.
- Remain hands-on in automation frameworks, test architecture, tooling decisions, and technical problem resolution.
