Job Overview
- The Site Foreman – Steel Structure is responsible for supervising and coordinating all structural steel erection and installation activities at the project site.
- The role ensures that steel structure works are executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, quality standards, and project schedules.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the erection and installation of structural steel components, including columns, beams, trusses, rafters, bracings, staircases, platforms, canopies, handrails, ladders, and miscellaneous steel works.
- Ensure all works are carried out according to approved shop drawings, erection drawings, method statements, and project specifications.
- Monitor daily site activities and allocate manpower effectively to achieve planned targets.
- Ensure proper alignment, leveling, plumbing, and fixing of structural steel members.
- Coordinate site modifications and minor fabrication works when required.
- Lead and supervise steel erectors, riggers, welders, fabricators, and helpers.
- Assign daily tasks and monitor productivity and workmanship.
- Ensure workforce discipline and compliance with company policies.
- Train and guide workers on safe working practices and quality requirements.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and other site teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Verify material availability before commencing work.
- Coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams for timely delivery of materials.
