Job Summary
- The Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all construction, steel fabrication, and erection activities are executed in compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, quality standards, inspection requirements, and client/consultant requirements.
- The role involves conducting inspections, preparing quality documentation, coordinating with site teams, and ensuring all works meet project quality objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and inspect site activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Conduct incoming material inspections and verify compliance with approved Material Inspection Requests (MIR).
- Perform stage wise and final inspections for structural steel erection, welding, bolting, painting, and installation activities.
- Ensure all work is executed according to approved Method Statements, ITPs, and project quality procedures.
- Coordinate and attend inspections with clients, consultants, and third party inspectors.
- Prepare and submit Inspection Requests (IR), WIRs, and MIRs.
- Maintain quality records, inspection reports, checklists, and test certificates.
- Review material test certificates, calibration certificates, and welding records.
- Ensure proper filing and control of all QA/QC documentation.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly quality reports.
- Identify quality issues and raise Non Conformance Reports (NCRs) when required.
- Follow up on corrective and preventive actions until closure.
