Responsibilities
- Monitor and coordinate all contractors’ MEP activities on site.
- Develop discipline specific construction schedules and monitor progress, providing schedule and progress appraisal reports to the Construction Manager.
- Monitor material procurement and deliveries to ensure timely support of construction activities and alignment with the construction schedule.
- Ensure that materials received meet project specifications and established quality standards.
- Maintain first level quality assurance to confirm that the installation of all works within the MEP discipline is in accordance with plans, specifications, and industry standards.
- Supervise MEP construction engineering work and provide technical support and guidance to construction and survey personnel.
- Ensure that all required tests and inspections are performed, witnessed, and documented in accordance with approved procedures.
- Collaborate with construction management to identify and eliminate hazards that may adversely affect the environment, safety, or health of employees.
- Ensure that personnel within the assigned team follow safe work practices in compliance with site specific safety procedures and industry standards.
- Establish and maintain liaison with discipline design engineering staff and, where necessary, with third party retail tenants and leaseholders across Doha Metro and Lusail Tram assets.
- Review and interpret discipline design drawings and specifications to ensure current revision status and correct technical execution of the works.
- Provide resolutions for technical engineering problems and coordinate the implementation of solutions on site.
Requirements
- BSc Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a construction related field
- At least 10 years of post graduate experience on major rail, tram, or infrastructure projects, preferably within the GCC
- Strong track record in managing and coordinating multidisciplinary site teams
- Solid understanding of MEP construction methods, standards, and quality requirements
- Demonstrated ability to multitask, effectively problem solve, and manage multiple work fronts simultaneously
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with contractors, consultants, and stakeholders
- Must have valid MME registration in Qatar

- In this role, you will oversee and coordinate MEP construction activities on major rail, tram, and infrastructure projects, ensuring works are executed safely, to the required quality, and in accordance with project schedules, designs, and specifications.
What You’ll Be Doing
