- Operate and maintain roll sharpening/grinding (MC) machines used in the rolling mill
- Perform roll grinding, sharpening, dressing, and polishing as per production requirements
- Inspect rolls for wear, defects, and dimensional accuracy before and after grinding
- Ensure proper machine setup, calibration, and maintenance for consistent quality
- Coordinate with the rolling mill team to ensure timely availability of prepared rolls
- Follow all safety, quality, and maintenance procedures
Requirements
- Minimum 3 5 years of experience as a Sharpening / MC Operator in a steel rolling mill
- Hands on experience with roll grinding, sharpening, and machine operation
- Good understanding of roll maintenance, dimensional tolerances, and quality standards
- High school, ITI, or Diploma
