Service Engineer

Role Overview

Maintenance and After-Sales Service

• Organize client site visits, resources, tools, spares, consumables, and manpower according to service-contract requirements.
• Investigate equipment faults, estimate repair times, complete repairs and calibration, and communicate remedial work to clients.
• Prepare inspection reports with recommendations and parts lists, while ensuring HSE compliance and required documentation.
• Maintain customer relationships and liaise with engineering teams on design changes.

Installation and Commissioning

• Install, troubleshoot, and commission water maker systems at sites, vessels, offshore locations, and high-risk countries.
• Complete installation and commissioning within planned budgets and time frames.
• Provide technical support, corrective actions, and client training for system operation.
• Follow company and client HSE policies and identify business opportunities during site execution.

Workshop and General Duties

• Assist with manufacturing and assembly of RO units and component parts when not visiting customer sites.
• Repair and recondition RO plants, equipment, units, and component parts.
• Provide workshop technician training and support local and overseas commissioning and troubleshooting.
• Complete service documentation, improve operations and customer service, and support sales with specialist advice.
• Provide team leadership during missions and work in confined spaces, on ships, and on rigs when required.

Requirements

• Diploma or degree in electrical or instrumentation engineering.
• At least 6–8 years of post-qualification experience in RO, STP, filtration, or ETP operation, maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, and field services.
• Water treatment commissioning knowledge and offshore RO or water treatment installation experience.
• UAE driving license and PLC knowledge are essential.
• Arabic and English language ability is required.
• Willingness to travel offshore and to moderate- or high-risk countries and work extended hours when needed.
• HSE awareness, problem-solving ability, communication skills, customer focus, and independent working ability.
