About the Role
Petrofac seeks a Senior Supervisor for Construction (Lifting) to oversee rigging and lifting operations on oil & gas EPC projects. The role involves reviewing lift plans, ensuring HSE compliance, and supervising lifting resources.

Responsibilities
- Review lift plans for Non Routine (Complex and Critical Categories), Weighing procedures, and Loadout Manuals
- Work closely with Construction lead and team leads to develop lift and haul schedules
- Assess lifting / hauling operations to provide planning, selection of crane, lifting gear & equipment, instruction, and safety precautions
- Support in developing lift study, heavy haul plans, weighing and loadout plans, method statement and JSA’s
- Conduct daily site audits to ensure HSE and Lifting / Hauling inspections and procedure compliance
- Monitor project lifting & rigging operations to ensure all lifts are performed in accordance with approved rigging plans and procedure
- Ensure all lifting / hauling equipment are well maintained, inspected and certified by approved 3rd party
- Ensure all personnel involved in lifting / hauling operation are trained, competent and 3rd party certified
- Review and approve routine lift plan, rigging & lifting procedure and lift studies including subcontractor’s lift plan
- Confirm effective procedure for reporting defects and incidents and take corrective action
- Ensure implementation of Petrofac procedures and subcontractor adherence
- Support in conducting Verification of Competency assessments onsite
Requirements
- Minimum years of experience in rigging & lifting site experience in direct hire construction with an international oil & gas EPC company
- Minimum years of experience as a rigging supervisor
- College graduate, preferably an engineer
- Extensive lifting and Rigging International Standards knowledge like ASME, OSHA
- Formal training by an approved third party training institute accredited by OPITO
- Able to produce working reports
- Familiar with PTW system
- Able to coordinate possible SIMOPS
- Able to train and qualify riggers, rigging supervisors and crane operators
- Working knowledge and interpretation skills of lifting drawing and calculations
- General knowledge in inspection of stationary lifting equipment

Essential Qualifications And Skills

- Trained and competent for the task in accordance with local legal requirements (e.g., Abu Dhabi EHSMS Code of Practice 34.0).
- Formal training by an approved third party training institute accredited by OPITO (e.g., NPORS BV).
- Able to produce working reports.
- Familiar with PTW system.
- Able to coordinate possible SIMOPS.
- Able to train and qualify riggers, rigging supervisors and crane operators.
- Working knowledge and interpretation skills of lifting drawing and calculations.
- General knowledge in inspection of stationary lifting equipment.
