The opportunity
As a responsible Senior Service Engineer, you are to carry out the execution of SLA Programs, Retrofit Upgradations, Extensions and Modifications of Control and Protection systems for assignments classified as medium or high complexity.
Manage completion of all site activities efficiently, cost-effectively, and in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
How You’ll Make An Impact
- Proficient in handling Telecom SDH Multiplexer, PDH Multiplexer, Wireless Router/Bridges, Switches, Routers, PABX Systems, Network Management Products.
- Works as a Telecom engineer in PDH, SDH, Ethernet, MPLS-TP technologies, with tendering team to understand end client’s specifications/practices related to telecommunication products and propose a technical solution meeting the requirements.
- Advice clients on maintenance and upgradation of existing installed base.
- Give presentations / training on new products / solutions to internal / external customers and conduct POCs.
- Represents the Service Engineering function at project meetings and design review meetings.
- Implements design changes and the production of as built project documentation. Supports continuous improvement of project process and product and system design via provision of lessons learned feedback.
- Supports Project Managers in issuing claims (new scope of work, cost impact, time impact, risk quantifications etc.).
- Creates work plans and cost estimates for work in an area of responsibility and proactively manages this work to deliver the agreed program on time, on quality and at targeted cost.
- Performs site activities focused on finalizing customer acceptance certification. Acting as the HE led for Service Engineering activities on a project. Ensures that HE is presented as a professional organization in all interactions with the customer.
- Manages external organizations providing Service Engineering with equipment, systems or services (e.g. issues permit work, provides guidance on health and safety requirements and work practices, accepts as complete work done).
- Coaches Associate with Service Engineers and use agreed processes and procedures to ensure that all Service Engineering activities comply with the required safety regulations and satisfy contractual requirements.
- Prepare project documentation such as SAT reports, Incident reports, RCA reports, etc.
- Obtain approvals from utilities/customers for Service Engineering activities of Telecom Systems.
- You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

- Your background
- A bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in a relevant field is preferred.
- Broad knowledge of HE systems and the technical environment.
- Knowledge & experience of third-party products and systems.
- Proactive coordination and reporting to Service Engineering Team Leader, Follow HE HSE safety culture and practices.
- Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
