Responsibilities
- Support end to end SCM value chain setup for the new HVDC factory in Saudi Arabia
- Perform material planning and manage tactical and operational procurement activities
- Maintain material master data in SAP, including MRP settings and lead times
- Track goods receipts and resolve invoice discrepancies
- Support Global Category Managers in negotiations and sourcing strategies
- Monitor and analyze SCM KPIs such as OTIF, lead times, and inventory levels
Requirements
- Experience in procurement and supply chain management, preferably in manufacturing or industrial sector
- Proficiency in SAP S/4HANA for planning, procurement, and inventory management
- Knowledge of material planning and MRP settings
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to work in a multicultural environment with international interfaces

About the Role
- HVDC GI Valves is a business unit within Hitachi Energy, headquarters in Ludvika, Sweden.
- We are building a HVDC Converter Valve factory in Dammam, Saudi Arabia.
- We are looking for an engaging and driven person to join the Factory Operations and Supply Chain Management team as a E2E SCM Value Chain Specialist.
- This role requires managing everything from strategies with global teams to material planning, procurement, and follow up in SAP.
Your Responsibilities
- Support the end to end (E2E) Supply Chain Management (SCM) value chain setup for the new HVDC factory in Saudi Arabia, including processes, systems, and organizational alignment.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of SCM processes in SAP S/4HANA, covering planning, procurement, inventory management, and logistics execution.
- Perform material planning and manage tactical and operational procurement activities for the factory and production.
- Maintain and ensure high quality material master data in SAP, including governance of key planning and procurement parameters.
- Support Project Buyers during project execution by ensuring timely material availability.
- Track goods receipts to verify delivery accuracy and support proper invoice processing.
- Organize and execute day to day operational SCM activities, including data management, KPI tracking, and reporting.
- Oversee production preparation and material planning activities for production.
- Support Global Category Managers in negotiations and sourcing strategies.
- Adapt corporate contractual frameworks to local business needs.
- Ensure secure and reliable material supply to support uninterrupted production.
- Collaborate closely with category managers, operational buyers, transport managers, logistics planners, and supplier quality engineers.
