About the Role
Amazon Web Services seeks a Senior Security Assurance Solutions Architect to lead security assurance and compliance programs for enterprise customers migrating to the cloud.

- Lead teams including Amazonians, partners, and customers to enhance security assurance and compliance programs
- Define innovative compliance and risk management approaches to help customers move sensitive workloads onto the cloud faster
- Resolve security assurance questions and help customers manage risk and achieve compliance in AWS Cloud through deep dive discussions, strategic presentations, and hands on demonstrations
- Lead efforts with AWS engineering, support and business teams to convey partner and customer feedback as input to AWS technology roadmaps
- Travel to customer sites as needed
Requirements
- Experience in information security and compliance
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems Management, Information Security or other related fields
- Experience in risk management and internal audit including performing risk assessments and audits, designing controls, managing enterprise control frameworks, and prioritizing risk
- Experience securing cloud software services and understanding design for scalability, performance and reliability
- 3+ years experience advising customers on architectures meeting industry standards and regulations such as NIST 800 53 and GDPR

Job Overview
- The Security Assurance Services (SAS) team at Amazon Web Services establishes scalable security solutions for internal and external customers.
- The team works with largest enterprise customers to operationalize the shared responsibility model as they migrate to the cloud.
- This is a customer facing role focused on helping customers move workloads and regulated data into the cloud by addressing risk, regulatory, and compliance requirements.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Expertise – Leads teams that include Amazonians, partners, and customers to enhance security assurance and compliance programs.
- Solutions – Lead a team to define innovative compliance and risk management approaches to customers.
- Delivery – Resolve security assurance questions and help customers manage risk and achieve compliance through deep dive discussions, strategic presentations, and hands on demonstrations.
- Insights – Lead efforts with AWS engineering, support and business teams to convey partner and customer feedback as input to AWS technology roadmaps.
- Ability to travel to customer sites as needed.
Basic Qualifications
- Experience in information security and compliance
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems Management, Information Security or other related fields
- Experience in risk management and internal audit including: performing risk assessments and audits, designing controls, managing enterprise control frameworks, and prioritizing risk
- Experience securing cloud software services and understanding design for scalability, performance and reliability
- 3+ years experience advising customers on architectures meeting industry standards and regulations such as NIST 800 53 and GDPR.
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA, CMA, CISA, CIA or equivalent risk, audit, or compliance credentials
- Experience in Agile methodologies and DevOps practices
- CISSP, CISA, CISM or other security certification, or GCIH or GSEC or Security+
- Master's degree or above in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Management, Information Systems, or other related discipline
- Experience in performing security assessments and information system audits of network, operating systems, application security, as well as auditing IT processes.
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges.
