The employer is seeking a Senior Risk Manager to join its growing team.
The role supports large-scale construction projects and programs as an experienced risk professional.
Responsibilities
- Maintain visibility of threat and opportunity trigger points and support risk cost profiling and risk budget management.
- Use risk data to inform investment planning and monitor overall risk exposure.
- Assess contractor-held risks and their impact on client-held risks.
- Produce timely reports on threat and opportunity status.
- Conduct quantitative cost and schedule risk assessments to inform contingency levels.
- Develop risk management services, plans, processes, and response plans across multiple projects and programs.
- Integrate risk management with cost, schedule, change control, and reporting within project controls.
- Collaborate with project control teams to identify improvements and eliminate redundancies.
- Transfer risk management knowledge to the risk team, project controls team, and clients.
- Support expert witnesses in arbitration or litigation processes.
- Lead construction-stage contract and claims management, including claims assessment and dispute advice.
- Manage change control, construction-stage cost control, measurement and valuation, and final accounts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering, or a related construction field.
- Minimum 5-7 years of applicable experience.
- Construction project procurement and contract management experience.
- Experience in a Program Management or Program Controls environment.
- Deep knowledge of risk identification, facilitation, and risk management techniques.
- Strong communication, analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of construction contracts, commercial models, and delivery methods.
- Proficiency in process mapping, root cause analysis, problem solving, and value-stream mapping.
- Familiarity with web-based database tools including ARM, Predict, or Tableau.
- Highly self-motivated, analytical, and customer-centric approach.
