Role Overview

Support corporate financial reporting and performance analytics on a major capital project.

Develop business requirements and Power BI reporting solutions that enable data-driven decision-making, governance, and performance management.

The role values cost control or project finance experience in mining, oil and gas, or large-scale construction environments.

Job Description

  • Support requirements definition, business process mapping, and training material development for corporate reporting dashboards.
  • Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards for cost, commitments, cash flow, and performance metrics.
  • Provide ad hoc analysis and customized reports for executive and operational decision-making.
  • Translate SAP or ERP, cost system, procurement, and schedule data into structured reporting outputs.
  • Define KPIs and tolerance thresholds and support performance tracking aligned with finance governance.
  • Ensure data integrity, reconciliation, and alignment across multiple data sources and reporting layers.
  • Support monthly finance reporting with review materials, variance commentary, and risk identification.
  • Improve reporting efficiency through automation, standardization, and reduced manual processes.

Qualifications

  • At least 7 years of experience in cost control, project finance, or financial analysis within mining, oil and gas, or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong understanding of cost control, forecasting, earned value, commitments, accruals, and cash flow.
  • Intermediate Power BI skills, including data modeling, DAX, and dashboard design.
  • Experience with ERP systems; SAP experience is preferred.
  • Ability to develop KPIs and performance reporting frameworks supporting governance and decision-making.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to present insights to senior stakeholders.
  • Project-based environment experience is highly preferred.
